The American Vegetarian Society was actually mentioned in my novel, "Revolt in the Ranch".
I was a strict vegetarian for 14 years.
I still love eating fresh tomatos.

Ah, the joys of a fresh tomato...cooked or uncooked is sensational. Ever cut one in half and broiled it with a tiny sprinkle of sea salt? Divine.
