For lifestyles that are either on-the-go or able to accomodate change quickly, ItDesign is for you. It makes beds and boxes. ItBoxes can be utilized as storage units, drawers, shelves, coffee tables, night stands, room dividers...they're waterproof so they can live in the kitchen or bath.
Their accordion-folded cardboard bedframe is made from folded 7mm thick cardboard, so it's easy to collapse and store away. Add a futon or mattress, and you've got a place for those short-term, overnight guests to flop.
