Take a 12-minute tour of The Farm in Tennessee where Albert Bates, the Director of the Global Village Institute for Appropriate Technology, offers training on how to create an Ecovillage. Since 1994, Bates has taught sustainable design, natural building, permaculture and restoration ecology to students from more than 50 nations.

Bates is scheduled to be with Just Food in NYC on October 21 and 28, discussing Urban permaculture. He's one of the original hippies, and has a lot of smart ideas to share.
