Wind Power Credits
Several companies, including some major organic food stores, are using wind power credits to offset their energy use. To do so, the companies buy "wind power credits" from Boulder, Colorado-based Renewable Choice Energy, which in turn pays wind farms across the country to produce electricity.
The credits and wind power created offset the actual energy the companies use. Individuals can sign up for similar plans.
Every kilowatt helps.

We have a program like that in Australia actually run by the government I believe - where they come in to your office and evaluate how much greenhouse gas etc you produce and you invest in environmental projects like tree planting etc to offset your damage creating a zero impact.
The Australian goverment seems to have a better grasp on environmental issues than our federal government. State governments are finding it necessary to band together in the U.S. to deal with some of the energy issues. Alternative energy projects, subsidies and incentives are going to become much more prevalent as people get tuned in to the issues.
Keep us informed from "Down Under".
